Student Policies
Duke University has high expectations for students’ scholarship and conduct. In accepting admission, students indicate their willingness to subscribe to and be governed by the rules and regulations of the university, which flow from the Duke Community Standard. These policies reflect the Duke Community Standard’s fundamental values—honesty, fairness, respect, and accountability.

Students are expected to meet academic requirements and financial obligations, as specified in the school bulletin, in order to remain in good standing. Failure to meet these requirements and to abide by the rules and regulations of Duke University may result in summary dismissal. |

Accessible Curriculum Materials |
Upon request by a student with an approved accessible-media accommodation, Duke’s Student Disability Access Office (SDAO) will provide accessible materials in alternative formats for required and recommended course reading assignments including course textbooks, readers, handouts, materials posted to the Learning Management System and specifically required or recommended library materials. Students with approved accommodations can also submit to SDAO accessible media requests for other materials related to university business, programs, and activities, including independently identified library research materials.
